LITTER PICKS

RIVER LITTER PICK

On Saturday 10th June 2023 we partnered with Great Ouse Valley Trust and local favourite Houghton Boats for a river litter pick, both on water and along the river banks.  Houghton Boats generously loaned us a number of boats to use free-of-charge, but participants were also welcome to bring along their own vessel and take up a section of the River Great Ouse to clean up.  Some pickers only wanted to pick on land, which meant we also had coverage on lots of the river banks too.

All collected refuse and equipment was loaned and collected by HDC.

Thank you to everyone who supported us and took part.  GOVT is looking to run more river litter picks in partnership with Rivercare, so we will share any future opportunities in our Time Bank weekly email for those who are interested.
