Eco Pop Up

In May 2023 we hosted an Eco Pop-Up with lots of stalls focussed on all the green things happening in our parish, including litter picks, refill stalls, crafts, HDC Waste Minimisation team, our Parish Council and the Great Ouse Valley Trust.

Feast Week Storytelling

This year for Feast Week we organised a storytelling event, inviting local story teller Chip Colquhoun to entertain us in the pavilion marquee. Great fun was had by all ages. Sales of cake and refreshments covered the costs of the event.

Seaside Afternoon

For Feast Week 2022, timebank organised a Seaside Afternoon where we enjoyed cream teas against the backdrop of the sound of waves and enjoyed the story of The Four Friends performed by professional puppeteer Zannie Fraser.

Coffee Mornings

We have our timebank coffee mornings twice-monthly where we get together to connect and try new things. It's a great way to meet other timebankers face-to-face and find out more about timebanking.

Litter Picks

Join us for our regular litter picks in the parish to protect our natural environment by keeping litter out of our waterways.

Digital Inclusion

We are part of a digital inclusion project which aims to make sure that no one is excluded as lots of processes and services go online. These take place in the form of a drop-in session at our coffee mornings where our Digital Champions can help you with your queries.

Nordic Walking

We recently invited fitness instructor Sam Godfrey to speak to us about the benefits of Nordic Walking and let us try out the poles. We're hooked.

Digitising Cemetery Records

We are currently undertaking a project from the Parish Council to digitise our cemetery records so that we have an easily accessible (and maybe one day searchable) copy of these historical documents.

Village Spring Clean

Thanks for a hardworking member of the timebank, The Green received some love as part of our Spring Clean before the Platinum Jubilee.

Pram Walks

We have been getting together for Pram Walks on Friday mornings as a way of connecting parents and grandparents and benefitting our mental health by being outdoors together.

Baby & Toddler Group Shed Clean

This is a before picture! You can see that some of the kids equipment in the shed had become quite dirty during lockdown, so some of our volunteers got together and cleaned both the shed and the toys ready for the summer.

Community Corner

Most Thursdays between 9-11am you can find me (Rose - the coordinator of our Timebank) in the Community Corner of Our Shop ready to answer your timebanking questions.

Loneliness Awareness Week 2022

We marked Loneliness Awareness Week, run by the Marmalade Trust, by making friendship braids to either spark a conversation about loneliness or as a gift for someone who might enjoy a nice surprise through their letterbox.
